The soon-to-be royal revealed that she left Bogart with a 'very close friend' after her engagement to Prince Harry.

Meghan Markle's decision to leave her dog, Bogart, in the United States after moving to London must have been a really hard one.

The soon-to-be royal gushed about the pup in a 2013 interview with Buzzfeed, revealing that he was the background of her phone at the time.

"He's a little rescue mutt from SPOT in L.A. and is 9 months old," she said. "He's adorable. Ellen DeGeneres was there when I was looking at him and told me I had to take him home. So I did. It's like if Oprah told you to do something, you just do it!"

The Suits star, who is also a dog mom to Guy, revealed that she left Bogart with friends in the United States during her first joint interview with Prince Harry after their engagement announcement last month. "I've had two dogs that I've had for a long time, two rescue pups," she said. "One is now staying with a very close friend and the other little guy is, yes, he's in the U.K. He's been here for a while. I think he's doing just fine."

During her interview with Buzzfeed, Markle shared her love for travel, saying that she was "eyeing a trip to Morocco that I am dying to go on soon."

"Being late" is a big pet peeve for Markle, who will no-doubt have to keep up with a busy schedule packed with charitable events and appearances now that she's engaged to Harry. And while she learned her engagement chicken recipe from Ina Garten, the actress said her favorite reality show in 2013 was Top Chef.

As for her girl crush? That would be Miranda Kerr. "Easily the most staggeringly beautiful woman I have ever seen in person," Markle said, also revealing that her go-to drink is "Macallan 15 neat, a dirty martini or a beautiful glass of wine."

Markle's wedding to Prince Harry is set to take place in May 2018 at St. George's Chapel. See more on the couple's wedding preparations in the video below.
