Milo Ventimiglia Is Challenged to Name Three Mandy Moore Songs -- But Can He Do It?
How well does the 'This Is Us' star really know his co-star?
Milo Ventimiglia is one of his This Is Us costar Mandy Moore's biggest fans, but can he prove it?
During his Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen appearance on Monday night, the 40-year-old actor was quizzed on his knowledge of Moore's pre-This Is Us career.
"Mandy Moore plays your wife on This Is Us," Cohen stated during a game of Plead the Fifth. "She, of course, started as a pop singer. Milo, name three Mandy Moore songs."
The audience erupted in applause as Ventimiglia visibly struggled.
"I think her album was called Candy," he shared. "And wasn't there a song called 'Crush'?"
While the star did confuse the album name, So Real, with the name of her 1999 hit single, "Candy", he impressively showcased his solid memory of the track by referencing the music video.
"I know she was only, like, 15 when she was driving the bug," he recalled of the "Candy" clip, which featured a young Moore driving around in a green Volkswagen Beetle. "Oh, man, I don't know the rest."
Two out of three isn't bad! The solid effort by Ventimiglia resulted in a friendly fist bump from Ricky Martin, who was also appearing on the Bravo show during its stint in Los Angeles this week.
There was one other question that Ventimiglia found far less intimidating. His This Is Us co-star, Chrissy Metz, was on hand to ask, "Who's hotter -- you, Sterling [K. Brown] or Justin [Hartley]?"
The Emmy-nominated actor didn't hesitate to rank the looks of his other co-stars in the hit NBC series, expressing his own humility in the process.
"Oh, man. Justin," he admitted. "Absolutely, 100 percent Justin Hartley. But Sterling K. Brown is right up there, if not more. I'm definitely the bronze medal. I'm third place on that whole thing."
Ventimiglia is quick to showcase his love for all of his This Is Us co-stars, especially Moore, who plays his onscreen wife. The TV star recently opened up to ET about her engagement to Dawes frontman Taylor Goldsmith.
“Taylor’s the coolest, loveliest cat we’ve ever met and Mandy’s the kindest, most beautiful soul, so for the two of them to come together like that, I’m incredibly happy for her. It’s very cool,” he told ET last fall, just before the Emmy Awards.
