Exclusive: Taylor Armstrong's Horrible Secret

In her first interview since her husband Russell Armstrong took his life, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong delivers an exclusive, no-holds-barred interview with ET's Nancy O'Dell.

Painting a portrait of terror and abuse behind the lavish Beverly Hills-lifestyle facade, Taylor reveals for the first time that her life with husband Russell was nothing like you've seen on their Bravo reality show.

"You live your life constantly on eggshells waiting for the other shoe to drop," Taylor tells Nancy about her horrible secret. "You don't know if you're going to talk to your girlfriend too long at dinner and that's going to cause someone to fly into a rage."

Taylor details what she says was the first time she truly got hurt at the hands of her husband: "The first time he ever really harmed me physically, I was pregnant with Kennedy and he grabbed me by the throat and held me up against a wall," she says. "I saw his ability to go from zero to 60 that quickly."

The Real Housewives star adds of the domestic violence, "I don't think he saw himself as an abuser until the last time that he hurt me, when I finally ended our relationship."

Of the night that Russell hit Taylor in the eye so hard that she had to go to the hospital – the results seen on the widely seen photo shown by ET -- she reveals, "When I finally showed him the MRI he just put it down and started to cry. And I think it was him having to come to terms with the fact that this had gone on for too long, and that this time he really could've hurt me beyond what could've been repaired."
