The 37-year-old singer/songwriter posted an Instagram photo on Monday, Dec. 29, of him and his friend, Allison Williams' fiance and College Humor co-founder Ricky Van Veen, looking more like Sims characters than actual human beings. Not acknowledging the overly-edited image, Mayer's caption reads: "So good to see my friend Ricky again. It's been a while."

After filtering out nearly all of his human features in this selfie, Mayer also shared a photobooth trick on Instagram. He posted on Wednesday: "FUN ON A BUDGET: Take iPhone selfies in a photo booth. #lightjacking."
While Katy Perry's ex seems to be making fun of photoshopping, other stars have found themselves in all-out Instagram enhancing scandals. One of the bigger Instagram stories of the year was that Beyonce had allegedly photoshopped bikini pics of herself so she would have a thigh gap.
