has love-hate feelings towards her celebrity status.

In an edgy photo shoot and interview with ELLE magazine, the Girls star is quite candid about her coming up in the Hollywood ranks and making a well-known name for herself. That being said, the Golden Globe winner still doesn't seem too thrilled with being known as a celebrity. "It was always going to make me feel gross, for lack of a better word," Dunham admits. "I was like, 'Oh, this attention is something I'm going to figure out how to use in a way that feels productive, healthy and smart. And not just like as an excuse to collect handbags.' Although, (she pauses) I love handbags."
