Ryan Reynolds Insists Violet Is Not His Daughter's Name

Ryan Reynolds confirms what his baby's name is not.

The Green Lantern actor and his wife Blake Lively recently welcomed a baby girl this past December, and while it was thought that the new parents named their daughter Violet, Reynolds claims those reports couldn't be more wrong.

"No that's not the name," the 38-year-old actor confirmed during an interview with USA Today. "I don't want to get into that but I don't know where that came from."

While Reynolds wasn't willing to give out his baby's name, he did chat a bit about fatherhood. "It's still so new that it's hard to conceive being away for more than seven hours at a time," he said of leaving his little girl. "I had to go to Sundance this last week. I was more excited to get a good night's sleep. It was borderline pornographic for me."

This past October, Reynolds joked that he was thinking of naming his child after a Keeping Up with the Kardashians star. "So I'm going with Excalibur Anaconda Reynolds …that's if it's a girl," he quipped. When asked what he planned to name the baby if it was a boy, he answered, "Bruce Jenner."
