'The Bachelorette' Finale: Did Kaitlyn Bristowe Pick Shawn Booth or Nick Viall?

After months of dealing with surprise suitors, curious off-camera scandals, and emotional confessions, this season of The Bachelorette is finally over. (Phew! It really was the most dramatic season, ever!)

On Monday's Bachelorette finale Kaitlyn Bristowe was forced to decide between the last two fellas left standing: Shawn Booth and Nick Viall. So who did Bristowe choose and, more importantly, did her suitor pop the big question?

While standing poolside at the Bachelor mansion (What?! No destination finale?), Bristowe said goodbye to Nick V. by stopping him mid-proposal -- and yes, it was just as awkwardly heartbreaking as it sounds. "My heart with with somebody else," Bristowe said through heavy tears.

"I don't want to hear it," Viall said with a thick layer of anger in his voice. "If you felt the same way as I did, then you'd have a ring on right now." This marked the second time in Bachelorette history that Viall was sent home packing in the finale.(Fingers crossed he doesn't come back for a third time, guys!)

But now onto happier news! After Viall said a tearful goodbye the brunette beauty handed out her final rose to Shawn B. while wearing a blush, floor-length gown complete with lace and plenty of camera-ready sparkles.

"I know that this has not been easy on you I have to be honest with you and tell you the truth," she said. "And the truth is that I never want you to question what we have ever again because I am completely yours and I will always be faithful to you and I have been waiting so long to tell you how I feel because I love you with all of my heart." Awww!

To make this on-screen love story even sweeter, Booth popped the question with a beyond gorgeous Neil Lane ring. "You have exceeded all my my expectations, more than I could have ever imagined," he said with a smile. "Kaitlyn Bristowe, will you marry me?" And of course, she said yes!

This news shouldn't come as too big of a surprise to Bachelorette fans. Back in June, the 29-year-old dance instructor set off a social media firestorm on after a Snapchat surfaced of she and Booth lying in bed together. Fans were quick to speculate that Booth would be her final man at the end of this journey, and now we know it was foreshadowing the truth.
