Kevin Roper is charged with aggravated manslaughter and vehicular homicide.

The truck driver involved in Tracy Morgan's devastating crash last year has been indicted on 10 charges, including aggravated manslaughter and vehicular homicide, by a grand jury, according to court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight.

Kevin Roper
will next go to trial to defend himself against all charges, two of which are in connection with the death of Morgan's friend, James McNair. Roper is also charged with eight counts of aggravated assault, two of which apply to Morgan's injuries. The now 47-year-old Morgan was in critical condition following the crash, suffering from broken ribs, a broken nose, a broken leg, severe head and back trauma.

Roper was driving a Walmart tractor-trailer on June 7, 2014 on the New Jersey Turnpike, crashing into a limo that was carrying Morgan, McNair, Morgan's personal assistant, Jeffrey Millea, and comedian Ardie Fuqua.

In May 2015, Morgan settled his lawsuit against Walmart for an undisclosed sum. "Walmart took full responsibility for the accident, which we greatly appreciate," a lawyer for the 30 Rock actor said in a statement posted on the retailer's website. "Walmart did right by me and my family, and for my associates and their families. I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably," Morgan added to the statement.

The actor opened up to ET last month about his long road to recovery, and how his 2-year-old daughter was helping him get healthy again.

"Me and [Maven] started walking at the same time," Morgan said. "When my daughter started walking, she took me and Moms [Morgan's wife, Megan Wollover] right there, first step. I was in the wheelchair and I said, 'I'm walking, too,' and a week later I was standing."

Morgan made a triumphant return to Saturday Night Live in October, proving that his humor was still intact. Speaking with ET, Morgan revealed that it was a fellow SNL alum that made him laugh for the first time after the accident.

"It was Eddie [Murphy] on the phone," Morgan said. "Eddie said, 'Are you all right?' And he said, 'I love you and take a year off. Take as much time as you can off, because you don't want to get on that stage with your knees wobbling.' And I started laughing!"
