Duggar Siblings Say 'The Devil Took His Best Shot' at Josh Duggar

The family is opening up about how they're moving forward in the wake of a scandal-filled 2015.

As Josh Dugger is adjusting to life back at home after a six-month stint in rehab, his siblings are speaking out about the family's scandal-filled 2015.

"The devil took his best shot," John-David Duggar told Good Morning America on Monday. "And he tried to take our whole family down, but God has really used this to -- instead of tearing us apart as a family, he's using it to draw us together, so for us, we've forgiven, and we're moving on, and we're looking to the future."

Seven of the elder Duggar children sat down for the interview, with Jessa (Duggar) Seewald joined by her husband, Ben Seewald, and their baby boy, Spurgeon. The family is currently promoting Jessa's new show, Jill and Jessa: Counting On, which focuses on Jill (Duggar) Dillard and Jessa's new roles as wives and mothers.

"In the midst of what we were walking through, there definitely have to be periods where you're like, 'I don't want cameras around,'" Jessa admitted. "But as we were talking together as siblings, we're like, 'You know what? If we can encourage even one other person out there who's struggling, then that needs to be our goal.' We've had a lot of healing in our family these past few months and we're ready to move forward and share our lives."

Last year, TLC canceled the family's 19 Kids and Counting reality show after news broke that Josh had molested five underage girls, including four of his sisters, when he was a teenager. Months later, an Ashley Madison data breach prompted Josh to admit that he had been unfaithful to his wife, Anna Duggar, and enter himself into a faith-based rehabilitation center. As ET first reported, Josh checked out of treatment just last week.

While Jill and Jessa have each married and moved out of their parents' Arkansas home, the remaining 16 children -- including 26-year-old twins Jana and John-David -- continue to reside at home with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

"Sometimes I do my own [laundry]," John-David confessed in GMA's interview, "but a lot of the time, the girls love to do it. At least, I think they do."

But when asked to raise a hand if they love to do laundry, not one of the sisters obliged.

Jill and Jessa: Counting On premieres on March 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TLC. The family confirms that Josh will not appear on the series, though his wife, Anna, will.

Meanwhile, neighbors in Springdale, Arkansas, are said to be "angry" about the Duggars’ return to TV.

A source told ET back in February that "there is a lot of hate regarding the family." Find out what else ET learned about the Duggars contract with the network and what we can expect to see next in the player below.
