Anna Kendrick Says She'd Make a 'Terrible' Taylor Swift
Anna Kendrick is no Taylor Swift.
In a recent interview with Net-A-Porter's The Edit, the 30-year-old actress discussed her cynicism, snarkiness, and how she could never be "like Taylor Swift."
"I'd be terrible at being like Taylor Swift, the perfect Miss American version of interacting with fans and making sure they have a good experience," Kendrick told the magazine, explaining she doesn't have the personality for all the fan experiences Swift provides. "I mean, I don't want people to meet me and have it f**k up their day, but I'm glad I can say something weird to them and they know that's just me."
"I could play Madame Bovary and I'd still end up being dry and cynical," the Pitch Perfect star continued. "There are times where someone will be like, 'Do that thing! You know, do your thing!' I get mildly annoyed by that. But on a greater scale, I'm lucky that's [my] reputation," she shared. "When I'm snarky with people, they know that's just how I communicate."
Kendrick may not be a Taylor Swift, who is notorious for crashing fans' weddings, surprising young fans in the hospital, and giving back during her annual "Swiftmas" giveaways, but we love the Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates star all the same.
In fact, we think Kendrick's feisty personality and hilarious Game of Thrones commentary are service enough, and can't wait for the actress' book, Scrappy Little Nobody, to come out in November.
Swift ain't got nothing on you, Anna!
