Vin Diesel Speaks Out After Dwayne Johnson's 'Fast 8' Diss: 'I Will Tell You Everything'

Vin Diesel spoke directly to his fans amid speculation that he's one of  the Fast 8 stars that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson called "candy a**es" earlier this week.

"So much has gone on this year. I can't believe I wrapped two back to back pictures I both starred in and produced," the 49-year-old action star captioned an Instagram video on Wednesday night. "Now I get to return to my family, my life... To me."

Diesel never directly addressed Johnson's comments, but instead talked about being home with his daughter Pauline, who was named after the late Fast and Furious actor, Paul Walker. "After being on set since literally Christmas to finally, finally, finally to come home," he began. "And to learn the little angel learned a new word. I'm going to have to share it with you, it's more important than anything. When I heard her say 'happy,' I just lit up in ways I can't even describe."

Diesel then paused, adding, "So give me a second and I will tell you everything. Everything."

On Monday night, Johnson went on a rant about some of his Fast 8 male co-stars. "This is my final week of shooting #FastAndFurious8. There’s no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one," he wrote. "Some [of my male counterparts] conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy a**es. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling -- you’re right.”

On Wednesday afternoon, Johnson softened his comments about working on the film franchise. "You guys reading this know how much I believe in the idea of team effort," the 44-year-old former wrestler said. "That means respecting every person, their time and their value when they step onto my set or partner with our production company. And like with any team, that's a family, there's gonna be conflict. Family is gonna have differences of opinion and fundamental core beliefs. To me, conflict can be a good thing, when it's followed by great resolution. I was raised on healthy conflict and welcome it. And like any family, we get better from it.

Johnson has yet to name which co-stars upset him, but in the past, the cast of the hit Fast and Furious franchise have always seemed particularly bonded, calling each other “family” and publicly grieving the loss of co-star Paul Walker. In addition to Diesel and Johnson, Fast 8, set to be released April 14, 2017, also stars Scott Eastwood, Jason Statham, Kurt Russell and Tyrese Gibson.

Gibson recently responded to Johnson's comments directly, saying he enjoyed working with him. "DJ happens to be one of the most humble, down to earth and professional people I've ever worked with and more importantly he's my brother we have NEVER had a problem and will never have a problem," he wrote in an Instagram post that he later deleted.
