Fans of James Corden and The Late Late Show know that the British host loves to bust a move to Montell Jordan’s “This Is How We Do it.” So when it came time for Corden to celebrate his 38th birthday with his return to TV after a brief hiatus, the producers decided to surprise him with a very special gift.
After watching a sweet montage from his family wishing him a happy birthday, Corden was treated to a special message from his favorite soccer player, Mark Noble, his favorite band, O-Town, and the singer of his favorite song, Jordan.

“I wanted to make sure for your birthday, I got you a little gift,” Jordan says in the video message. “Actually, I got a better idea.”
Jordan then got up and walked onto The Late Late Show set singing the 1995 hit. An elated Corden jumped up, dancing and singing along. In fact, at several points he seemed to know the lyrics better than Jordan himself.
After they finished performing, a speechless Corden tried to verbalize his thanks, but Jordan interrupted him.
“Listen, I don’t know how long I can stay, but it’s your birthday and I wanted to bring something special for you because I know how you love music,” Jordan said.

He then presented Corden with a special button that when pressed blasted “This Is How We Do It.”
“That’s the greatest present I could ever have. Can we go to break now?” Cordan asked laughing. “That whole rehearsal this afternoon was just pointless!”
That’s just one of Corden’s many birthday treats. Over the weekend, Chris Martin invited the Brit on stage with Coldplay to perform a Prince tribute.
