In honor of the singer's 38th birthday on Monday, Spears' boyfriend, Sam Asghari, took to Instagram to send her a sweet message. Alongside a hilarious video of Asghari wiping out while ice skating with the "Toxic" singer, Asghari praised the love he and Spears share.
"We live, we laugh, we argue, and most of all we LOVE ❤️ There’s a reason why the world fell in love with you!" he wrote. "You might be the princess of pop but mostly you’re my princess ? Biggest Happy Birthday to you @britneyspears"
"? My A** still hurts from falling and breaking the ice ???? you get it? ? #breaktheice," he quipped.
Asghari also shared a snap of him and Spears holding hands while on a stroll, gushing that the post was "to my princess."
Spears' sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, also got in on the celebrations, sharing three throwback shots of her and her older sister.
"when Britney got a perm, well I had to have one too (as pictured above) Some things never change," she captioned the pics. "Always looking up to you. Happy Birthday to my sister ?."
The sweet notes came the same day that a source told ET that Spears is doing "incredibly well" as she celebrates her big day.
"Britney struggles to keep her life on track, but right now she’s been doing incredibly well. Her family is very proud of the steps she’s taken to get where she is today," the source said. "Britney’s been following her doctor's orders and is in a very stable place at the moment."
"She is trying to keep life simple and spend time with Sam and her kids," the source added of Spears' two children with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Sean, 14, and Jayden, 13. "She plans to spend her birthday with her boys. She wants to just have a nice time with family."
As for a potential proposal from Asghari, the source said that "he doesn't want to rush marriage."
"He wants the best for her and they’re just enjoying their time together," the source said. "Sam loves her and so does his family."
