It's "Use Your Vote" night on Dancing With the Stars! Follow along with ET as we live blog all of the biggest moments from Monday's show!

Only eight couples now remain in the competition after news broke early Monday that Jeannie Mai abruptly had to exit the competition due to a health concern that required immediate attention. ET has learned that The Real co-host underwent surgery and is resting.

Following the announcement from ABC, host Tyra Banks confirmed to ET that tonight's scheduled double elimination will no longer happen -- only one of the eight remaining couples will go home.  "There are a lot of little, tiny changes that the team alerted me on," Tyra explained. "They're a very good team and so when something happens, they adjust. Of course, this is not an easy adjustment because emotionally we're all just like, 'Whoa.' But they're gonna make it work."

The dance competition show kicks off Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, and you can follow along in real time as we live blog the episode below!

And the Couple Going Home Is...

Tonight was going to be a double elimination, but with Jeannie Mai out of the game, they've decided to just give the axe to one couple.

Tyra reads off the names of the couples who are safe and will be returning to dance again, until she gets to the bottom two.

The two couples in jeopardy are Skai and Alan as well as Chrishell and Gleb.

Carrie Ann votes to save Skai and Alan, and Bruno votes the same, meaning the road has come to and end for Chrishell and Gleb.

The pair seem to take the news well, and Chrishell is all smiles and Gleb blows kisses to the cast watching from the balcony.

The Third Relay Dance

The third and final relay dance of the night saw AJ, Kaitlyn and Skai face off in a samba battle.

AJ and Cheryl hit the dance floor first, trying their best to show of their moves to "Levitating" by Dua Lipa.

Kaitlyn and Artem hit the stage second, followed by Skia and Alan.

All three seem to have a really great time with the routine, and Bruno enjoys the effort.

AJ and Kaitlyn are given three bonus points, while Skai only gets two. It's really anyone's game tonight.

The 2nd Relay Dance

The second relay saw Justina face off against Johnny.

Jeannie would have been a part of this group, but her exist made it a two-way race for bonus points.

The two couples delivered impressive Viennese Waltz routines, but Johnny got the edge,

Derek ends up awarding Johnny with three bonus points and Justina with two.

The First Relay Dance

This week, the show needs to fill their 2-hour run time, and that's a lot harder with only eight couples.

Therefore, we got the first-ever relay dances. Three groups of three (well, one group only has two, because Jeannie had to drop out) dance one type of routine.

The numbers are shorter, and the couples are rewarded bonus points from one judge.

The first group include Chrishell, Nelly and Nev, who all perform cha-chas. All three of the couples do pretty well, but it's Nev who shines the brightest.

Carrie Ann is the judge for this first relay, and she gives three bonus points to Nev, as well as two points to both Nelly and Chrishell.

It's unclear how much of an impact this will have on the final elimination, but we'll see soon enough.

AJ Gets Candid About His Substance Abuse and Sobriety

AJ and Cheryl both got really candid about their addictions and struggles with substance abuse in their pretaped video package.

The singer reflected on his addictions to cocaine and alcohol, and how his daughter was instrumental in helping him get clean.

The pair took to the dance floor for a rumba set to “Way Down We Go” by Kaleo, and the number moved the judges, but also left them feeling confused.

"I tell you, I was so captivated by it, because the intensity, the intent, the drama, the purpose the storytelling. You were just killing it. But I have to say, it was supposed to be a rumba. So I lost a lot of the rumba action," Bruno shared. "It's very difficult, isn't it, what do I judge? Because I really did love the performance."

"AJ, for me, a hero heals their own wounds and shows others how to do the same," Derek shares. "I appreciate you sharing your journey, and I know you're going to help other people."

AJ gets choked up after the feedback when Tyra asks him if he has a message for other people in recovery who might be looking at this performance for inspiration.

"You know what, just one day at a time. And I want to dedicate this to all the addicts out there, struggling, because it's hard. But with a little courage, you can overcome," AJ shares.

The pair end up earning three 8s for a total of 24 out of 30.

Johnny and Brit Get Foxy

Johnny and Britt are wonderful, and their foxtrot -- set to "Wonder" by Shawn Mendes -- is a real wonder.

Johnny is a big fan of Mendes, and it's clear how that appreciation translates onto the stage.

"It was an interesting choice, something different. We want to see things we've never seen before," Carrie Ann says of their unique take on the foxtrot. "It was an interesting artistic choice, well done."

The duo earn three 9s for a grand total of 27 out of 30. This puts them in a three-way tie for 1st place.

Skai and Alan Work It

Skai wants to take the stage with fire, fun and fury, and this salsa routine certainly gives her that chance.

She and Alan owned the stage with a routine set to Missy Elliot's "Work It" and they delivered a wild number -- with a whole lot of lifts and tricks -- that actually impressed the judges quite a bit.

The pair earn 8s from Carrie Ann and Bruno and an 9 from Derek for a formidable total of 25 out of 30.

Chrishell and Gleb's Scores

Derek: 8

Carrie Ann: 8

Bruno: 8

Grand Total: 24 out of 30.

Chrishell actually seems super happy about this score, so that's nice.

Chrishell and Gleb Have Love on the Brain

Well, we've finally gotten to the stage in the season where Gleb pulls out all the seductive stops for a truly sexy, sultry routine.

Amazingly, Chrishell and Gleb's seductive routine came with a Viennese Waltz set to Rihanna's "Love on the Brain" that really made hearts flutter.

Carrie Ann and Derek were wowed by the number, and had VERY specific critiques (which are always a good sign). Bruno has issues with their transitions, but seems to really want more.

However, we won't know how much the judges liked the dance until after the commercial break.

Nelly Dances for His Sister

This week's dance is a particularly emotional one for Nelly, as he dedicates the routine to his late sister, Jackie.

In a pretaped video package that airs before his dance, Nelly gets emotional as he remembers his older sister, who died after a battle with Leukemia.

In her honor, Nelly dedicates his rumba -- set to "Nobody Knows” by The Tony Rich Project -- to her, and it's a heartfelt routine that serves as a sweet tribute.

The judges respected his efforts and were proud of his bravery, but had critiques for his technical performance.

Unfortunately, the scores didn't reflect the emotionality of the number. The pair earned three 7s for a total of 21 out of 30 -- which is a far cry from their stellar scores during last week's Villains Night.

Justina and Sasha Samba Their Hearts Out

Justina is bringing some tropical flair and neon color to the ballroom!

The sitcom star is letting her style and flair for high-energy, charismatic performance run wild as she and Sasha samba their hearts out.

Rocking bright orange ensembles, the pair set fire to the floor and bring a ton a fun to the stage.

"What I love is the way you make us feel while you dance, you're having such a great time," Carrie Ann says.

Derek says she looks "absolutely beautiful," while Bruno excitedly calls her a "tangerine dream."

The pair earn three 9s for their efforts, for a total of 27 out of 30!

Nev and Jenna's Scores

The pair's scores were flawless, but they certainly weren't bad!

The pair earned three 9s across the board for a grand total of 27 out of 30.

Nev and Jenna Class Up the Joint

Nev and Jenna earned pefect scores for their Villains Night dance -- so they've set the bar very high for themselves.

Tonight's the pair are dancing a Viennese Waltz set to "Stuck With U” by Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber, and it's beautiful, careful and graceful.

The pair owned the dance floor as they elegantly drifted around the stage, but was it enough to match last week's scores?

"You were oozing charm and charisma. And that confidence cameo show in the way you led," Bruno marvels.

"You move with such intention and clarity and it's such a joy to watch you dance," Derek adds.

Frustratingly, we won't know their scores until after the break.

Kaitlyn & Artem Are Looking for Their Comeback

Last week, Carrie Ann judged Kaitlyn and Artem exceptionally hard, and it's clear her harsh remarks impacted the pair emotionally.

So they're hitting the stage tonight with motivation, drive and a desire to prove to themselves that they deserve to be here -- and it shows.

Kaitlyn and Artem gave it their all for a fun, beaming jive routine set to "Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen that really lit up the ballroom.

"That was a great, great jive," Derek shares.

Bruno says he wanted more "attack" and "drive" but still seems enthusiastic about the performance.

"I know last week was a tough week. But I think you've come back with grace and energy," Carrie Ann says.

The pair earn two 8s from Carrie Ann and Bruno and a 9 from Derek for a total of 25 out of 30.

Get Out the Vote

With the election less that a full day away, DWTS is really turning up the heat with their efforts to get out the vote!

Each of the stars are rocking shirts about how they've voted, and it's the first thing Tyra says when she hits the stage in a very voluminous yellow gown.

Jeannie released a statement Monday morning addressing her departure.

"It saddens me that I will not be able to continue with the competition on DWTS," Jeannie shared in a statement to ET. "My doctors discovered a health concern with my throat which requires immediate attention and surgery. I am heartbroken that my DWTS journey has to end here."

"The last several weeks have been an amazing learning experience. I have pushed myself to new limits physically and mentally, and I am so proud of how far we’ve come," the statement continued. "I can't thank my partner Brandon [Armstrong] enough for being so supportive and believing in me. I also want to thank MAI fans who voted every week and I wish everyone else in the competition the best of luck!"

Despite Jeannie's shocking exit, Tyra hopes to still bring some fun to the show with... *drumroll* her fashion! The host exclusively gave ET a sneak peek look at the Rihanna-inspired outfit she'd be wearing

"My first look is so much I had to rehearse it before the rehearsal," Tyra teased. "It is so much, I almost killed it. I almost said, 'Cut the dress ... we should not wear this until the finale.' It is so beautiful, it's so spectacular, I'm like, 'I think it's too soon for it.' We had the director on the stage, the stage manager, the stylist, we all [talked] about it, like, 'Should we or shouldn't we?' because this is a lot."

"It's yellow, my favorite color, and I know you guys are gonna think Rihanna. So maybe this is the cousin dress to the Met Gala dress that she wore," Tyra continued, referencing the iconic yellow gown and cape the singer wore to fashion's biggest night out in 2015. "And we kind of look alike too, me and Rihanna. So I'm sure there's going to be a lot of side-by-side on the internet."

Another fashion secret? Tyra told ET she plans to wear a more comfortable shoe under the dress to avoid any live wardrobe malfunctions!

"Big secret, I'm going to have on sneakers, not high heels, and it is allowing me to do those stairs in grace.. even though I could run a mile in that dress if I had to," she said, laughing.

Tune into Entertainment Tonight on Monday to hear more from Tyra and the season 29 DWTS contestants (check your local listings here). And stay tuned right here to ETonline as we live blog "Use Your Vote" Night, starting at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET.
