'I'm just happy that they're kind,' the former 'Grey's Anatomy' star said of his daughters.

On the small screen, he's known as Dr. Alex Karev. But in real life, Justin Chambers is a proud girl dad.

The longtime Grey's Anatomy star, who exited the famed ABC medical drama in 2020 after 15 years on the show, recently made rare comments about the four daughters he shares with his wife of 30 years, Keisha Chambers: Isabella, 29, twins Maya and Kaila, 26, and Eva, 24. They are also mom and dad to son Jackson, 22.

"They're great," he told People of his four daughters at the 25th Annual Women's Image Awards. "They're very independent, levelheaded, kind. I'm very blessed, very grateful."

"One's going to hit 30 soon. That's a big milestone," he acknowledged. "I'm proud of her. She's very socially conscious and she's just a very loving girl who is very involved with world issues and just kind."

Chambers, who is also a twin, was not shy about praising his girls, telling People, "They're little college graduates. And they're more academic. And sometimes I'm like, 'Wow.' I'm really impressed with how intelligent and interested they are in things. But most importantly, I'm just happy that they're kind."

"There's no good time to say goodbye to a show and character that's defined so much of my life for the past 15 years," Chambers said in a statement to ET at the time. "For some time now, however, I have hoped to diversify my acting roles and career choices. And, as I turn 50 and am blessed with my remarkable, supportive wife and five wonderful children, now is that time."

"As I move on from Grey’s Anatomy, I want to thank the ABC family, Shonda Rhimes, original cast members Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson and James Pickens, and the rest of the amazing cast and crew, both past and present," he continued, "and, of course, the fans for an extraordinary ride."
