Is there anything this man can't do?

Idris Elba set out to prove that he's more than just the Sexiest Man Alive and an award-winning actor.

On Saturday night, the 46-year-old British heartthrob kicked off the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, with a DJ set that impressed even his most skeptical fans. Elba had the support of his daughter, 17-year-old Isan, who shared photos with her dad and a friend at Coachella on Instagram prior to his performance.

Elba himself commented on the photo, writing, "Turn up Dad."

Elba also shared a shirtless selfie on Instagram prior to his performance, clearly excited.

"You ready @coachella ?????? I am!!!!!" he wrote. "Game face ?????? let’s get it."

There was a long line to get into Elba's set, but he delivered, confidently spinning tunes while wearing a patterned shirt. Elba's fiancee, Sabrina Dhowre, was also at his performance to support him, proudly sharing video from the show on her Instagram Stories.

Elba's performance debut at the star-studded music festival comes after he played a DJ in his new Netflix series, Turn Up Charlie, and admitted that he was asked to DJ the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Prior to getting Coachella turnt up, Elba spoke with the L.A. Times about the reactions he encountered when it was announced he would be performing at the event.

'People were like, 'What’s he gonna do -- a speech?'" he quipped. "'Scenes from The Wire with music behind it?'"

Despite the skepticism, Elba, who says he's been spinning records since he was a kid, was thrilled to get the call to perform at Coachella.

“To be honest, I’m super psyched to be on it. I never thought I’d be able to play there," he mused. "I’ve DJ’d for money and I’ve DJ’d for fun, and now there are people that are coming to see me play Coachella. That’s out there."
