Jason Momoa Apologizes to Chris Pratt After Calling Him Out: I'm 'Passionate' About This 'Epidemic'

'I’m sorry this was received so badly today.'

Jason Momoa is issuing an apology.

Less than a day after the 40-year-old Aquaman star criticized Chris Pratt for using a plastic water bottle, Momoa took to Instagram to apologize for his comment. Momoa is a big advocate of recyclables and has his own brand of still, alkaline spring water, packaged in aluminum cans.

Early Wednesday morning, Momoa shared a pic of himself and the two kids, Lola, 12, and Nakoa-Wolf, 10, he shares with wife Lisa Bonet, posing with Pratt. He also apologized in the caption for how wide-spread his comment became.

"BRO you know my children and I are madly in love with you and I love everything you do," Momoa wrote after tagging the 40-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy star. "I’m sorry this was received so badly today. I didn’t mean for that to happen."

Momoa continued the post by explaining why he felt the need to speak out about single-use plastic.

"I’m just very passionate about this single use plastic epidemic," he wrote. "The plastic water bottles have to stop. I hope u make a reusable water bottle for Amazon so we all can purchase."

"You’re an inspiration to many. I’m one of them," he added of Pratt. "I’ll send you a case of MANANALU. All my Aloha, Da Momoa’s"

Momoa's initial comment came when Pratt took to Instagram to show off a pic of himself at the gym. In the shot, Pratt's looking off into the distance while sporting a skintight tank and holding a plastic water bottle.

While Pratt's brother-in-law, Patrick Schwarzenegger, praised him for "lookin' ripped" and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, gushed "love it baby," Momoa had a different take on the photo.

"Bro, I love u but wtf on the water bottle. no single use plastic. Come on," he wrote.

Pratt replied, “Aquaman! You’re completely right. Dammit. I always carry my big gallon size reusable water jug around with me too. I even had it that day!!!”

Momoa is so passionate about this cause that he shaved his beard for the first time in 12 years to get people's attention about recyclables. Check it out:
