Jeannie Mai Asks Judge to Hold Off on Enforcing Her and Jeezy's Prenup

The exes have been trading allegations against each other since the rapper filed for divorce in September.

Jeannie Mai and Jeezy's divorce battle is raging on. On Thursday, Mai filed docs, which were obtained by ET, asking the court to either deny or delay until completed discovery her estranged husband's request to enforce their prenuptial agreement.

In the docs, Mai claims that her and Jeezy's prenuptial negotiations began five days before their 2021 wedding, at the groom's request, which casted "doubt on the agreement’s integrity."

"The abbreviated negotiation window raises significant concerns about the adequacy and thoroughness of the due diligence process, and each party’s 'full and fair disclosure' of their financial positions," the docs argue. "Given the compressed timeframe, it was inherently challenging, if not impossible, for either party to engage in comprehensive due diligence. The result being an inability to fully comprehend, scrutinize, and verify the accuracy of the disclosed financial information."

Now, Mai says she has "significant reservations" regarding Jeezy's financial disclosures, and, as such, wants "a thorough investigation via discovery mechanisms prior to enforcement" of the prenup.

Mai claims that, in their prenup, Jeezy only provided a "financial statement with approximate values and tax returns," not "comprehensive supporting financial documents that would provide a transparent and detailed view of [his] assets, liabilities, and overall financial standing."

"This limited disclosure raises significant concerns about Mr. Jenkins' adherence to the requisite standards of transparency and completeness," the docs read. "... In this case, the quick nature of the negotiation process coupled with Ms. Jenkins' legitimate concerns regarding the accuracy of Mr. Jenkins' financial disclosures reinforces the need for caution and discovery."

If the prenup is enforced before discovery, Mai argues that "the principles of fairness, transparency and equitable proceedings" would be compromised.

The latest court filing comes after Jeezy filed for divorce in September, a move that left Mai "very surprised," a source previously told ET. The pair shares a 2-year-old daughter, Monaco.

The following month, the rapper, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, told ET that "the decision to end this chapter in my life was not made impulsively and comes with a heavy heart."

Then, in December court docs, Jeezy claimed that Mai was acting as a "gatekeeper" of their daughter and asked a judge for a hearing to set "clearly defined" temporary legal and physical custody rights amid their divorce.

In her response, Mai, who denied her ex's allegations, strongly suggested that Jeezy engaged in infidelity during their marriage and expressed concerns about Monaco's safety when in Jeezy's care.
