Luke Perry's daughter, Sophie Perry, is working hard to make sure her father's legacy lives on.

Less than two months after her father's death, Sophie, 18, took to Instagram on Monday to reveal that she'd managed to raise the funds to open a preschool in Malawi, which will bare her father's name in honor of his memory.

"Thank you to everybody who donated to help with our projects!" Sophie wrote, referring to the GoFundMe campaign she started to raise money for their efforts.

"Our first school is finished and I can’t tell you how proud and excited I am to see it open on Wednesday. Thank you to my amazing partner Ruben for everything. Especially for fighting to name the school after my dad," she added in the caption, alongside a photo of herself and her friends, Gabriela and Ruben, who have been working on the project alongside her.

Sophie was working on her multiple education initiatives in Malawi when her father suffered a massive stroke back in late February. She returned home to L.A., and was by his side when he later died in the hospital on March 4.

Following her father's passing, Sophie has shared numerous tributes and posts celebrating his life and sharing her memories of their time together in emotional posts on Instagram. Watch the video below for a look at some of the other ways she's honored her late father over the last two months.
