Madonna is following doctor's orders.

The "Like a Prayer" singer has been forced to cancel three concerts due to "overwhelming" pain. The shows were slated for Nov. 30 through Dec. 2 at the Boch Center Wang Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts.

"Please forgive this unexpected turn of events," Madonna wrote in a message to her fans on Instagram on Wednesday. "Doing my show every night brings me so much joy and to cancel is a kind of punishment for me but the pain I’m in right now is overwhelming and I must rest and follow doctors orders so i can come back stronger and better and continue the Madame ❌ journey with all of you. #madamextheatre."

A statement on the Boch Center Wang Theatre's website shares that the concerts won't be rescheduled due to "tight scheduling," however, refunds will be issued.

Madonna put on a quite a show during her concert at The Wiltern in Los Angeles last week -- which was attended by Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian West. According to a concertgoer, the sisters sat front row center for the over two-hour show that began close to 11 p.m. At one point during the concert, Madonna came off stage to sit and chat with Kim for the rest of the crowd to hear.

In an interview with ET ahead of the show, Kim said she'd love to see Madonna wearing her SKIMS shapewear. Watch below.
