How ‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Amber Portwood Explains Her Tumultuous Past to Daughter Leah (Exclusive)

‘Teen Mom OG’ stars Amber Portwood and Maci Bookout McKinney are opening up to ET’s Deidre Behar about the highs and lows of their personal lives as they navigate the challenges of motherhood. For Amber, she says season 9 of ‘Teen Mom OG’ will explore her relationship with 12-year-old daughter Leah, who she says is now at the age where she is asking questions about her mom’s tumultuous past. Amber says the conversations have been difficult, but she knows Leah is very mature and deserves answers. Amber also reveals she is currently on a journey of self-growth and evolution following her 2019 arrest. As for Maci, she says we’ll see her son, Bentley, demonstrate wisdom and maturity as he attempts to have a relationship with his father, Ryan Edwards. Despite negativity in the press about co-parenting with Ryan, Maci says she doesn’t pay attention to tabloid reports and insists her marriage to Taylor McKinney is still going strong.
