Prince William spoke out against the BBC following new details about the 1995 interview with Princess Diana. On Thursday, The Duke of Cambridge said in a video that the news organization used ‘deceitful’ tactics to secure the controversial sit-down interview, which he said contributed to the ‘fear, paranoia and isolation’ his mother experienced during her final years. In a statement, Prince Harry echoed his brother’s reaction. He said, ‘Our mother was an incredible woman who dedicated her life to service. She was resilient, brave, and unquestionably honest. The ripple effect of a culture of exploitation and unethical practices ultimately took her life.’ The Duke of Sussex added, ‘Yet what deeply concerns me is that practices like these—and even worse—are still widespread today.’
