Deadpool
isn't afraid to give credit where credit is due.

When Wonder Woman's domestic box office gross surpassed Deadpool's on Monday, Ryan Reynolds took to Instagram (once again, in his Deadpool persona) to congratulate the warrior princess on being a monetary powerhouse.

To show his love, the 40-year-old star posted a photo of the Merc With a Mouth's gloved hands forming a heart-shaped frame around his gold Wonder Woman necklace.

"The Merc May Be Filthier, but Her B.O. is Stronger," Reynolds captioned the pic. "Congrats #WonderWoman #BoxOfficeBoss."

Gal Gadot's empowering action epic
has earned $368.4 million in the United States so far, just edging out Deadpool's impressive $363 million domestic haul.

While Deadpool's worldwide gross of $783.1 million is still higher, Wonder Woman's take is catching up quick, and currently stands at $747.5 million.

Reynolds has been gearing up for Deadpool 2 in recent months, and he's been promoting the hotly anticipated sequel like crazy -- especially Josh Brolin's role as Deadpool's reluctant friend and partner, Cable.

On July 5, the actor shared a snapshot from a nature hike, in which he is smiling under a giant wooden sign that reads "CABLE POOL."

"Went for a hike and saw this. It's a sign. It's also a sign. #Cable #Deadpool2," the star wrote alongside the pic.
