'The Help' Dominates SAG Awards Nominations
The 18th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations were announced this morning by Regina King and Judy Greer, marking the start of awards season.
The Help was the most nominated film, scoring four Screen Actors Guild nominations, including the big one for Viola Davis for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actress in a Lead Role.
A number of A-list leading men also scored nominations, including Leonardo DiCaprio for J. Edgar, George Clooney for The Descendants and Brad Pitt for Moneyball.
On the television end, ensemble comedy Modern Family clearly dominated, with five nominations total.
The 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be simulcast live nationally on TNT and TBS on Sunday, Jan. 29 at 8 p.m. from the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center.
