Bieber Apologizes for London Concert: 'No Excuse'

Justin Bieber's notoriously dedicated fan base was none too happy with the 19-year-old Monday night, when his London fans reportedly started booing him after he started his concert inside the O2 Arena nearly two hours late.

The opening acts performed until 8:50 p.m., and it wasn't until 10:20 p.m. that Bieber appeared on stage, the BBC reports.

Justin addressed the incident Tuesday morning on his Twitter, apologizing for his tardiness.

"Since I have been here it hasn't been easy with the press at times but I have loved it. So let me say this ... last night I was scheduled after 3 opening acts to go on stage at 9:35 not 8:30 but because of some technical issues I got on at 10:10..so...i was 40 min late to stage," he explained. "There is no excuse for that and I apologize for anyone we upset. However it was great show and I'm proud of that."

"My relationship with the media is not always easy but I'm trying. I'm all about the music and the performance and I respect my fans," he added. "I never have any intent to upset or let anyone down. And I'm not okay with things being exaggerated. Once again sorry for anyone upset."

Justin's concert drama has been the latest in what's turning out to be a less than stellar London trip, when he tweeted "worst birthday" after his birthday bash was cut short over the weekend.

Still, Justin's already looking on the bright side of things.

"Now we have a show to do today and I'm gonna focus on the positive and put on a great show tonight here in London," he tweeted. "NIGHT 2 at the 02 is gonna be even better. Get ready. Thanks."
