Hilary Duff, George Lopez Join Search for Missing Beverly Hills Dog

These stars are using their celebrity status to help their friend find her dog Charlie.

A few stars are using their celebrity status to help their friend, Julia Cohen, find her missing Maltese dog, Charlie.

A surveillance video saw the pup allegedly being taken by a child and a woman in yellow, who witnesses say was pregnant.

Charlie's owner "just wants him back" and is offering a $2,000 reward for his safe return. Meanwhile, Cohen's famous friends are helping in the search for the pup.

"PLEASE HELP US FIND CHARLIE!!!! He is missing," Hilary Duff Instagrammed on Wednesday. "Last seen being picked up by a pregnant woman and her son. White Maltese. Red collar. Please call!!(310) 860-1650! Or contact @switchboutique."

star George Lopez also put his weight behind the efforts to find Charlie, tweeting to his 2 million followers: "No questions asked, please if anyone has any information, please call!"

Lance Bass then tweeted: "Puppy Alert! Charlie was taken by a pregnant women and her kid on S. Beverly Dr. today in Beverly Hills."

Cohen and her sister co-own the Beverly Hills store Switch, and say that for the past nine years, Charlie has been sitting right outside the establishment. "Everyone in the neighborhood knows him. He's basically famous," Cohen told Los Angeles' ABC 7.

"We're trying to find him, so Hilary Duff's got one side of the town covered and George Lopez, I'll throw it out to the other side of the town," Lopez said.

"Charlie's a staple here. Everyone in Beverly Hills knows him. He sits outside the front of the store. He never ventures too far to the left, to the right," Duff added. "Anything would be really helpful. We have a lot of broken hearts tonight."

The Beverly Hills Police Department is on the case, but anyone who may have information about Charlie's whereabouts can call the Switch store at (310) 860-1650.
