Carrie Underwood Gets Scared by a Cowboy While Talking About Marriage and Motherhood on 'Ellen'

The country crooner didn't expect to get spooked while on the talk show.

Carrie Underwood couldn't help but gush about her perfect family while on The Ellen DeGeneres Show -- but she didn't expect to get spooked in the process.

On Tuesday's episode of Ellen, the American Idol alum started listing the ways her husband, pro hockey player Mike Fisher, is a cowboy. As she was explaining, a man dressed in cowboy gear hit the stage and seriously scared her. "Watch your back, people," Underwood exclaimed. "Where you're here, you watch your back."

Fisher and Underwood have an 8-month-old son, Isaiah, at home, and the 32-year-old country crooner bragged to Ellen that he's a very good baby. "He's the sweetest and smiliest baby, I think, ever," she gushed. "So, that's a blessing when you're waking up at three o'clock in the morning. [When] he's smiling at you, that makes it not so bad."

According to his mother, Isaiah rarely cries and is already learning to sleep through the night. "He kind of whines. It's not ever a full-on cry," she said. "It's getting a lot better. A few nights a week he'll give us all night long."

Underwood added that she and her husband make a good team when it comes to parenting. "He's great. I think we're both really good at picking up the slack when the other one is super busy? So, when he has a game the next day ...I'll make sure and be like, 'OK, he needs to sleep tonight for his game tomorrow,'" she said. "So, I'm the one getting up."

Prior to her Ellen interview, Underwood revealed to ET her plans for Isaiah's first Halloween. "I think I'm gonna have a lot of fun trying to find a costume for him," she said excitedly. "For Halloween, our house is like the fake headstones in the yard, and there's pumpkins and stuff on the stoop."
