Barack Obama Calls U.S. Women's Soccer Team 'Badasses' During White House Visit
'This team taught all of America's children that playing like a girl means you're a badass.'
The White House was full of some pretty “badass” women on Monday -- just ask President Barack Obama.
The commander in chief hosted the U.S. women’s soccer team at his home to congratulate them on winning the World Cup title over the summer.

"This team taught all of America's children that playing like a girl means you're a badass," Obama said in his welcoming speech.
He also jokingly offered an off the field position to midfielder Carli Lloyd, whose hat trick during the game helped bring the team to a 5-2 victory against Japan.
"Carli's performance was so good that by the time the game was over someone had changed her title on Wikipedia from 'Midfielder' to 'President of the United States,' which by the way, the job's about to open up," he explained. "What's another candidate in the mix? I guarantee you Carli knows more about being president than some of the folks who are running."

The team took the opportunity to grab a picture with the president, who appeared just as excited as they were.
Hope Solo also made good use of her time during the visit.
“Catching up on some reading in the @WhiteHouse library,” she captioned a photo of herself looking through the White House book collection.
