The 55-year-old singer also spoke with ET about whether she's looking to expand her brood.

Sheryl Crow is back on the dating scene, but in a "private setting."

While promoting her Be Myself album, the 55-year-old singer chatted with ET's Deidre Behar about what it's like dating as a celebrity with two sons at home. "It's really nice that I live in a place where my kids have a very normal life," Crow, who resides in West Nashville, Tennessee, said. "I do date and I can do that in a private setting and it's great."

The two-time GRAMMY winner also has a pretty good idea of what she's looking for in a partner. "I'm attracted to people that are funny and people that are curious and people that are constantly on the growing tip," she shared.

Crow noted that being a mom to 10-year-old Wyatt and 7-year-old Levi has changed her dating life. "Having two kids, it creates a strong weed-out process," she said. "You know pretty quickly if this is somebody that you're going to want to be around your kids."

As for whether the "Strong Enough" singer is looking to expand her brood, she exclaimed, "I would love to. If I could adopt 10 more kids, I would."

Crow quickly added, "I think our unit is perfect now, and I'm a little bit older to be a mom and I want to have all the energy that I can for the two boys that I have."

That being said, she admits that it would be "great to add kind of a dad-type guy" to her family. "Somebody who meets us where we are," Crow explained. "I'm constantly eyes and heart wide open."
