Nipsey Hussle Is Remembered by Friends and Fans Ahead of Memorial Service

Everyone from Ciara to Jada Pinkett Smith took to social media to pay tribute to the slain rapper.

Nipsey Hussle will not be forgotten.

On Thursday, as friends, family and fans of the late rapper gathered at Los Angeles' Staples Center for his Celebration of Life memorial service, which ET is live streaming and blogging, social media lit up with emotional tributes.

Everyone from Ciara to Jada Pinkett Smith to Snoop Dogg posted heartfelt messages in honor of Hussle.

"May God continue to lift everyone up during this difficult time. Praying for you @LaurenLondon. Rest In Peace Nipsey," Ciara captioned a photo of Hussle from the GRAMMYs.

"Rest in Peace and Love Nipsey," Pinkett Smith posted on Instagram. "A moment of silence for your return Home today."

Hussle, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom, was fatally shot on March 31 outside his clothing store in South Los Angeles. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced on April 4 that Eric Ronald Holder Jr. was charged with fatally shooting Hussle and wounding two others in Los Angeles. The two other men survived.

The rapper is survived by 34-year-old model and actress Lauren London, whom he had been dating since 2013. The couple shared a 2-year-old son Kross together, and he also had a 7-year-old daughter named Emani from a previous relationship.
