John Travolta Gets Help to Find Stolen Benz

John Travolta experienced the theft of his rare Benz vehicle and the Santa Monica Police Department has pitched in their efforts to support.

On Thursday, Santa Monica police sent out pictures of a car that resembles the 1970 brown Mercedez Benz 280 SL convertible Travolta owns, which was reported stolen on Sunday. Officials hope the wide release will aid them in getting a lead on its possible whereabouts.

The vehicle was last seen in a residential area near the Jaguar dealership in Santa Monica, where Travolta had parked it. According to sources, the car's estimated value is listed at $35K, while some sites are putting the value at three times that amount.

Anyone who has seen or has information about the vehicle in question (license plate #3RBZ737) is urged to contact Dt. Steve Smetzer, (310) 458-8936, Sgt. Henry Ramirez, (310) 458-8453 or the Santa Monica Police Department (24 hours), (310) 458-8495.
