Faris and Janney Make Dysfunction Funny on 'Mom'

star Anna Faris and The West Wing's Allison Janney play mother and daughter on the new CBS comedy Mom, created by TV sitcom rock star Chuck Lorre.

In Mom, Faris plays Christy, a single mother who is also a recovering addict. After deciding to restart her life to avoid her drug and alcohol-filled issues, she moves to Napa Valley to get away from her past.

However, it turns out that maybe her past is the reason for her current situation when her mother Bonnie, played by Allison Janney, comes back into her life.

Bonnie is a recovering addict as well, and it is their relationship, and their attempts to rebuild the family they have, that drives the show.

In these hilarious clips, we get a taste of their relationship when Bonnie reveals tidbits from her past to Christy, including all the men she's slept with in their AA program and the fact that she almost gave Christy up for adoption when she was a baby.
