NSYNC's Joey Fatone Reveals the One Backstreet Boys Song He's Always Wanted to Perform

Fatone made the revelation during an interview on Audacy's 96.5 WTIC-FM.

Joey Fatone is bringin' da Backstreet Boys noise for his and AJ McLean's co-headlining North American tour.

The *NSYNC singer appeared on Audacy's 96.5 WTIC-FM The Christine & Salt Show on Wednesday and the 46-year-old singer was asked a very intriguing question -- is there a song from the Backstreet Boys he's always wanted to perform? And ditto for McLean with regard to *NSYNC songs.

"We've done the show a few times on certain things and I've gotten to know certain songs that he does like," Fatone shared. "Like, I think 'This I Promise You' he's always wanted to do. So, we've done it. He's like, 'Can we do it? Can we do it?' I'm like, 'OK, we'll do it.' And for me, it was always 'Quit Playing Games.' I always loved [it]. I never got a chance to really do that, so that might be a song."

Earlier this month, the duo announced their A Legendary Night tour, slated to kick off March 15 in Southern California's wine country in Temecula. The show then heads to Rancho Mirage, California, before jetting off to Wallingford, Connecticut; Boston; Newark, New Jersey; and Florida.

The tour's been a long time coming.

"I've done a few shows now with AJ, and we've always talked about doing something together," he explained. "We didn't know what that was yet, but we were like, 'Let's do something.'"

And thus, the Legendary Night tour was born.

"We did this in Tampa, Florida, we did this show and it was kinda like a '90s throwback and people loved it," he continued. "We had such a blast, we had such a fun time doing it,we were like, 'Why don't we just put this out there for a couple of shows -- see if people want to come see it."

Fatone also shared that McLean will debut new songs from an upcoming album on this tour. And the *NSYNC singer will perform songs live for the first time, like a song he's only performed in the 2001 rom-com, On the Line. They're even offering a rendition of a Nirvana song!

"It was hilarious because I was like, 'I'm gonna rip my voice,'" said Fatone when deciding whether to give a Nirvana song a shot. "But you know what, it's toward the end of the show, let's do it!"

Fatone also shared another interesting nugget about his days as Angelo in My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

"Funny you say that," said Fatone when asked if he got to keep the track suits he donned in the OG film and the sequels. "I stole the first one that I ever had. And I still have it somewhere. The one from the very first Greek Wedding. Then I stole the other one, if I'm not mistaken. The other outfits were awful, so I didn't steal those. The only ones that I kept were the track suits."
