Prince Harry Reveals Daughter Lilibet Reached This Special Milestone

Harry shared his daughter's major milestone in an exclusive interview with 'People.'

Little Lilibet is growing up! In an exclusive interview with People, Prince Harry revealed that he and Meghan Markle's 10-month-old daughter has already taken her first steps.

"Her current priorities are trying to keep up with her brother; she took her first step just a few days ago!" Harry told the outlet. "Proud papa, here."

Harry, who also shares 2-year-old Archie with Meghan, has been gushing about his little ones while at the 2022 Invictus Games in The Hague, Netherlands, which runs through April 22.

At the Games' opening ceremony Saturday, Harry told the crowd about Archie's potential career aspirations.

"When I talk to my son, Archie, about what he wants to be when he grows up, some days it's an astronaut, other days it's a pilot — a helicopter pilot obviously — or Kwazii from Octonauts," Harry said with a chuckle before adding, "If you're laughing, then you've seen that."

He continued, "But what I remind him is that no matter what you want to be when you grow up, it's your character that matters most, and nothing would make his mum and me prouder than to see him have the character of what we see before us today."

He also shared his wish for his children as they grow older, and the responsibility he feels, as a parent, to make the world a better place.

"To grow up in a better world," Harry began while speaking to the #Vteam during Saturday's opening ceremony. "To grow up in a fairer world, a safer world, a more equal world. It's not going to be easy, but I will never, ever, ever rest, until I, as a parent, at least try to make the world a better place for them, because it is our responsibility that the world is the way that it is now."

He continued, "And I don't think that we should be bringing children into the world, unless we are going to make that commitment to make it better for them. We cannot steal your future."

While Archie and Lilibet were not at the Games with their parents, Harry has already been sharing the annual international sporting event -- which he founded in 2014 -- with his kids.

"We can't wait!" Harry told People about bringing his children someday before revealing that he's already shown Archie some footage from the Games in Sydney, Australia.

"I showed Archie a video of wheelchair basketball and rugby from the Invictus Games in Sydney, and he absolutely loved it," Harry said of Archie's reaction to the Games, created for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans.

He continued, "I showed him how some were missing legs and explained that some had invisible injuries, too. Not because he asked, but because I wanted to tell him. Kids understand so much, and to see it through his eyes was amazing because it's so unfiltered and honest."

The Games have been life-changing for Harry, who told People that becoming a father has only deepened his connection to the annual event.

"Being a dad certainly adds another emotional layer to it," Harry shared. "When I was in the Army, I promised myself I would be out before having a wife and kids, because I couldn't imagine the heartache of being apart for so long during deployment, the risk of possibly getting injured, and the reality that my family's lives could be changed forever if that happened."
