Looking to change up your hair for the new year?

To spark inspiration, we've tapped some of the most influential celebrity hairstylists (with impressive client rosters which include the Kardashian-Jenners, Nicki Minaj and Penelope Cruz) to sound off on the cut and color trends they're predicting will be huge.

2019 seems to already embrace a "go big or go home" mentality with bright pastel-colored tresses that have already popped up on celebs. Glossy, blunt lobs will continue to be popular, and dark hues are making a comeback but not without some natural golden highlights to brighten the face.

See the styles the pros are getting behind, ahead.

Clients: The Kardashian-Jenners, Kristin Cavallari, Ashley Graham, Dorit Kemsley

"Fantasy colors are having a moment in 2019! Already Khloe Kardashian, Hailey Baldwin (color by Florido), and Ashley Tisdale (color by Dom Forletta) debuted beautiful shades of pastel pink. If you are too scared of commitment, it’s easy to find a temporary wash out spray!"

"I think pastel colors, light hues of pink lavender we will see a lot of. Also brunettes with beautiful golden highlights I love it, especially that the spring and summer will be here in no time. This look brightens up the face especially when you tan."

Clients: Aly Raisman, Penelope Cruz, Fergie, Paris Jackson, Jenna Dewan

"A return to natural color is on the outlook, but when I say natural, I don't mean, you know, natural! (We aren't crazy.) I'm talking about a more natural seamless blend of hair color. The best way to achieve this is by picking a traditional single process base color like neutral, gold, ash and copper. Then add freehand highlights or babylights to give an overall refined and sophisticated take on 'natural hair color.' Freehand highlights tend to be more subtle and natural looking. Brunettes will be rich and glassy with shades of mocha woven through. The key to keeping it looking natural is keeping the highlights within four shades of the base color."

"We’re seeing celebrities everywhere chopping off their hair into blunt bobs and lobs. A lot of women look amazing in this cut! It’s especially flattering for anyone with a heart-shaped face or if you have a defined jawline. A blunt bob is fantastic because it flatters nearly every face shape (you’ll just want to be careful about the length depending on your particular face shape, so talk with your stylist to discuss what is best for you). When cut at the proper length, the blunt bob/lob will highlight all your best features!"

Bobby Eliot

Clients: Alison Brie, Lili Reinhart, Maya Rudolph, Julia Garner, Karen Gillan

"I think haircuts that are blunt as well as short Mia Farrow, Twiggy pixies are trends for 2019. Celebrities like Emilia Clarke, Cailee Spaeny and Jena Malone have all gone for chic, short haircuts recently and it’s so refreshing! Also, instead of having really razored ends, opt for something blunt and clean. It’s all about shine and creating that high gloss effect to the hair. Having a clean haircut with minimal layering creates more shine and gives the cuticle of the hair a smooth effect."

Clients: Gigi and Bella Hadid, Gisele Bundchen, Camila Cabello, Priyanka Chopra

"I'm loving all these short hairstyles I've been seeing and I think it is a trend that will have a big presence in 2019. Cara Delevingne is someone who embraces short haircuts and does it so well."

"Anything bold is going to be big for 2019. Lived-in, effortless hair has been big for a few years. Color will shift and be more refined and polished. Bright/platinum blondes like Hilary Duff and Khloe Kardashian’s current hair color will be a big hit in 2019. Tones will vary from icy blonde to a creamy buttery blonde depending on what’s best suited for your skin tone. Red will make a big appearance too. A variation from a strawberry blonde to a rich red velvet. Emma Roberts always makes her way back red (she just posted an inspo pic on her IG). Zoey Deutch was rocking a stunning red recently."

Clients: Cindy Crawford, Bebe Rexha, Madison Beer, Jennifer Love Hewitt

"Emma Stone ditched the golden hues for her new dusty (ashy) dark locks. Everyone has been steering far from darker locks for the most part, but we all need change so we will see lots of leading ladies transitioning to the dark side this year. The key with this look is to not go overly dark so you still have the dusty reflect in your hair."

"If you want to know where real trends are headed, just follow the money. So here is what the money says. 2019 will be a year of bigger, thicker hair by use of hair pieces. Extensions will be used to achieve a variety of looks not just for adding length, but also for women of finer textures to achieve that power bob that has an ultra-thick weight line but glassy finish and swing like my client, Jenna Dewan."

"Speaking of finer textures -- with greater access to beauty secrets than ever before and search volume for solutions to thinning hair in women hitting an all-time high by end of 2018, 2019 will be a year of 'extra,' so big, thick hair is going to take over. You'll see stronger, more dense, swishy weight lines with the increased use of extensions but in cuts reminiscent of the '90s under tuck cuts like my client, Kylie Jenner, is wearing."
