'American Horror Story's' Ma Petite: Don't Treat Me Like a Baby
Indian actress Jyoti Amge stars in American Horror Story: Freak Show, but she also holds the official Guinness World Record for the world's smallest woman. She opened up to ET about working on the show and the reactions she usually gets from fans.

At just 23 inches tall, Jyoti, 20, is only eight inches taller than an Emmy award. Her small stature comes from a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia, and it affects how fans react to her when they meet her in real life.
"When people see me on TV, they become very happy because they don't have to interact with me," Jyoti said through a Hindi translator. "When they start interacting with me they ask me questions like I'm a baby or treat me like I'm a baby and hold me like I'm a baby, and that's what they do wrong, really."

Last week's episode ended unfortunately for Jyoti's character, Ma Petite, but the door is still open for her to reappear on the show, which would be just fine with the young actress.
"In American Horror Story she has to act but it's not normal acting," said her translator. "She has to get in cages and boxes and other things and pumpkins and that's the most fun part about working in this show and she doesn't know what's about to happen from episode to episode."

Freak Show, the fourth installment of the smash anthology series, is set in the small town of Jupiter, Fla., in the 1950s. It follows Elsa Mars (Jessica Lange, who has already won two Emmys for AHS) and her band of misfit monsters as they struggle to make their show a success in the dying world of the American carny experience.
The title could be thought of as insensitive for those in the cast, but Jyoti never took offense to it.
"She didn't have any reservations because even though the name of the show is Freak Show nobody is a freak here," said Jyoti's translator.
American Horror Story airs Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. on FX.
