EXCLUSIVE! Behind The Scenes of the 'Home Improvement' Reunion on 'Last Man Standing'
By Leanne Aguilera
Does everyone know what time it is? Time for a Home Improvement reunion!
It's been 16 years since the comedy classic graced the air, but now fans of the Taylor family are getting a small-screen treat. Patricia Richardson will be guest starring on tonight's all-new episode of Last Man Standing and reuniting with her former on-screen husband Tim Allen.
"I thought it was kind of forward of us to ask [Patricia] to do this," Allen confessed exclusively to ET on the set of Last Man Standing. "This business is promotional so it seemed kind of cheesy."
But we think Richardson hit the nail on the head when she guessed why the Last Man Standing star was hesitant to bring her on. "For him it's probably weird because he has two wives," she said with a smile, referring to Allen's new TV wife Nancy Travis.
"It's not like we divorced, she just went away," Allen explained to his former sitcom partner-in-crime. "And in the TV world, I even told Nancy I was looking at them and I said, 'This is kind of weird.'"
Adding to the nostalgia fest, we reached way back into the ET vault and shared our very first interview with the Home Improvement pair from 1991. Take a look at our video above to see Allen and Richardson's adorable reactions to their interview blasts from the past.
You can see the latest Home Improvement crossover when Last Man Standing airs tonight at 8 p.m. on ABC.
