Jim Parsons dishes to ET about his double Emmy nod.

Jim Parsons could walk away with two individual Emmys this year -- one for his dramatic turn in The Normal Heart -- and he dished to ET about the significance this holds for him.
"It's overwhelming," said Parsons. "I never expected anything like this and it was a hell of a morning because of it."

Parsons is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for The Big Bang Theory and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for the HBO AIDS drama, The Normal Heart. This marks the first time that Parsons has been recognized by the Academy for a dramatic role.

Parsons' was one of 16 nominations for The Normal Heart. Director Ryan Murphy and co-stars Mark Ruffalo, Matt Bomer, and Julia Roberts also got nominations.

"Everybody was so proud of this movie that was a part of it," said Parsons. "It could not feel better to have it recognized by our peers."
