The actress took to Twitter to call out the singer over his controversial Super Bowl halftime show from 2004.

Bette Midler is asking for justice for Janet Jackson.

Midler took to Twitter on Monday to share her thoughts on Justin Timberlake's recent apology to his wife, Jessica Biel, after he was photographed holding hands with his Palmer co-star, Alisha Wainwright, while intoxicated at a bar in New Orleans last month.

"#JustinTimberlake publicly apologized to his wife for holding hands with another actress after having too much to drink, but sez nothing else happened," Midler tweeted. "Who cares? He held another woman’s hand, BFD."

She went on to ask, "So when is Janet Jackson’s boob gonna get an apology? #JusticeForJanet."

The outspoken actress was, of course, referring to the infamous Super Bowl XXXVIII Halftime show in 2004, when Timberlake and Janet Jackson performed together on stage and their show ended with Timberlake exposing Jackson's breast on live television at the conclusion of their final song.

Jackson's career took a massive hit following the unprecedented controversy, and the term "wardrobe malfunction" was coined to address the incident. According to reports, Jackson's costume was meant to break away and reveal a red-lace bra underneath the leather top.

However, the stunt went wrong, and the red lace was torn away along with the rest of the top, revealing her breast. While Jackson was essentially blacklisted for years, it's been noted that Timberlake didn't receive nearly as much blame or criticism, and was even invited back to perform at the Super Bowl LII halftime show in 2018.

While Midler might not feel Timberlake's hand-holding was a big deal, the actor drew enough heat and the incident sparked so many rumors that he addressed the controversy in an Instagram post last week.

"I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family I feel it is important to address recent rumors that are hurting the people I love," Timberlake began. "A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgement -- but let me be clear -- nothing happened between me and my costar. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior."

"I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son," he continued. "I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that. I am incredibly proud to be working on Palmer. Looking forward to continuing to make this movie and excited for people to see it."

Wainwright's rep also told ET that "there is no validity to the speculation" surrounding her relationship with Timberlake.

As for Timberlake's relationship with Biel, a source told ET that the longtime couple "love each other dearly."

"They want nothing more than to stay together," the source said of the pair, who are parents to 4-year-old son Silas. "Even though Justin works and travels a great deal and he is so much in the public eye, both [Jessica and Justin] are wonderfully dedicated parents who both have careers, which can present some challenges."
