Meghan Markle Will Spend Christmas With Prince Harry, Queen Elizabeth & The Royal Family

Prince William and Kate Middleton will also be there.

Meghan’s Christmas Prince! After weeks of speculation about Meghan Markle’s holiday plans, Kensington Palace confirmed to ET on Wednesday that Prince Harry’s fiancée will officially be joining the royal family for Christmas festivities.

“You can expect to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry, and Ms. Markle at Sandringham on Christmas Day,” a Kensington Palace spokesman tells ET.

This is a break in tradition for the royal family, who in the past have only extended Christmas invites after a couple is officially wed.

The Sandringham House is Queen Elizabeth's private estate in Norfolk, England, where the family tends to spend the holidays. Last year Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip skipped their annual trip there as they were suffering from heavy colds.

Buckingham Palace released a statement on Wednesday saying “The Queen and members of the Royal Family will attend the Morning Service on Christmas Day at Sandringham Church.”

Markle will also be attending the service.

Prince Harry and Markle announced their engagement last month after more than a year of dating. The couple plans to tie the knot in May 2018. They will reside at Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace, where their neighbors will be Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and the future royal baby.

On Tuesday night Harry and William attended the Star Wars: The Last Jedi premiere in London together. Watch the clip below to see their dapper evening!
