Actress Lisa Lynn Masters has died, ET can confirm. She was 52 years old.
"As to her husband and family's wishes, we hope that the industry can mourn her death without details," Masters' manager said in a statement to ET on Friday. "In these darkening days, we hope those who have had the pleasure of knowing her will see how brightly she shined and will find that light within themselves and continue to share it with others -- just as she would have."
Masters, whose multiple acting credits include Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Ugly Betty and Gossip Girl to name a few, was found dead inside her room at the Nuevo Mundo hotel in Lima on Tuesday, according to Lima newspaper Peru21. The local outlet reports she died of an apparent suicide.
Masters is survived by her husband, William. The actress' friends have set up a GoFundMe page to raise money to bring her body back to the United States, and for funeral services in her childhood home of Asheville, North Carolina.
"Our dear friend Lisa Masters passed away tragically and unexpectedly in Lima, Peru on November 15, 2016," the page reads. "Lisa's genuine warmth, generosity and tenacious strength will be deeply missed."
As of press time, the page has received more than $39,000 of its $50,000 goal.
If you or someone you know needs help, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
