'The Bachelor': Here's Why Hannah Brown Appears on Peter Weber's Season

'The Bachelor' will return on Jan. 6.

The search for Pilot Pete's soulmate begins January 6! That's right, Bachelor Nation, the 24th season of The Bachelor premieres on the first Monday in the New Year with an epic three-hour special episode featuring Peter Weber as the main man in the tuxedo.

So will Pilot Pete pick one of the 30 women vying for his affections, or will an old flame -- one Hannah "Beast" Brown -- win him back? According to ABC's press release, the former Bachelorette will be stepping out of the limo alongside Peter's contestants, possibly looking for a second shot at love -- potentially in a windmill -- with her ex.

The network also teases "one hard-charging career woman who has already had a chance encounter with the Bachelor and sparks flew then."

Apparently, Peter gets rid of eight contestants on the first night alone and makes nine contestants have a group date in a flight school, and one lucky lady even gets to meet Peter's entire family at his parents' vow renewal.

As for Hannah's involvement in the season, the release teases, "In another huge surprise, Hannah B. hosts the next group date. She explains to the nine enthusiastic women that they will be revealing their most memorable sex stories and fantasies in front of a live audience. But what happens when Peter discovers a distraught Hannah backstage? What she shares with him will leave them both as confused as ever. Do the two of them still have feelings for one another and share the same sizzling passion? Will Hannah join the group of women in the Bachelor mansion and continue to date Peter?"

Hannah appears in the new sneak peek clip for this season of The Bachelor. In the video, Peter says, "I'm so confused right now. What are you doing here?"

"Making decisions for my heart, because I know there's still something there and I would do anything for our relationship," she says.

He smiles and moves closer to her, saying, "Hannah Brown! What would you say if I were to ask you to come be part of the house?"

ET's Lauren Zima asked Hannah about the moment right after she won this past season of Dancing With the Stars, but the Alabama native remained tight-lipped about her cameo.

"I don't know [why I'm on his season]," Brown teased when asked about the moment. "I've been dancing on Dancing With the Stars!"

So will Peter and Hannah rekindle their romance? Time will tell when The Bachelor premieres Monday, Jan. 6 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
