'The Masked Singer': The Butterfly Gets the Net -- See What Music Superstar Was Under the Mask

After an exciting face-off, fans had to bid farewell to the latest contestant to get the ax this season.

*Caution: Spoilers ahead!*

The lineup of costumed stars is getting even smaller after another singer's true identity was finally exposed on the latest episode of The Masked Singer.

Wednesday saw four costumed contestants -- The Fox, Thingamajig, The Tree and The Butterfly -- hit the stage once more to sing their hearts out as the panel of celebrity "detectives" -- including Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy and guest panelist Joel McHale -- did their best to deduce their true identities.

After all four hidden hopefuls belted out their best performances, the audience in the theater voted on who would be moving on and who would be heading to a Smackdown Round. This time around, it all came down to Thingamajig and The Butterfly, and it was the lovely lepidoptera who lost the last battle.

However, on The Masked Singer, every time we have to say goodbye, we get the reward of finding out if our wild guesses and rampant speculation was on point or if we totally missed the mark when the singer finally unmasks. And this week, The Butterfly revealed herself to be none other than former Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams!

Before revealing her identity, McCarthy, Scherzinger and Thicke all deduced that it was, in fact, Williams under the mask, based on the clues and her voice. Meanwhile, McHale thought it was Victoria Beckham, and Jeong suggested it was the Spice Girls' Mel B.

After working hard to get her Butterfly mask off, Williams revealed herself to the excited panel, who had nothing but love and appreciation for the singer and her journey.

"It was a beautiful experience," Williams said of her time on the show. "Yes, I've been on big stages, but for me personally this was something for me to know, like, 'You got this.'"

Michelle started to get choked up as she explained how being on the show has been a "confidence builder," and her tears got the panelists misty-eyed as well.

"I haven't worked all year, since December of last year, so this is a way to come back strong, and I'm so glad to share it with y'all," Williams added with a smile.

Tonight's reveal comes on the heels of last week's surprising elimination, when fans had to bid farewell to The Flower, who turned out to be none other than the Godmother of Soul herself, Patti LaBelle.
