'Vanderpump Rules': Lala Kent Reveals Why She Reached Out to Rachel Leviss After 'Scandoval' (Exclusive)

The reality star spoke with ET at the season 11 premiere of 'Vanderpump Rules,' held at the Hollywood Palladium on Wednesday.

Lala Kent is opening up about her decision to reach out to Rachel Leviss amid the dramatic fallout from last year's Scandoval.

Kent walked the carpet at the season 11 premiere of Vanderpump Rules -- held at the Hollywood Palladium on Wednesday -- and she spoke with ET's Brice Sander about her divisive decision to try and convince Leviss to return to the show.

Kent admitted she "didn't ask the group" beforehand, but rather, "I told them later -- and you guys will see how they react."

Leviss left the show after season 10 ended with the high-profile drama between Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval -- who split after nine years when Madix discovered that he was cheating on her with Leviss.

While the story took the world by storm, Sandoval and Leviss faced serious backlash for their affair, and Leviss wound up quitting the show. However, Kent felt some level of sympathy for Leviss after more of the full story came to light.

"There were a couple of reasons why I reached out to her. Number 1, it resonated with me that she had been isolated, or she said she had been isolated, by Tom Sandoval. I know that feeling," Kent shared. "I also felt that she needed to come back and apologize wholeheartedly when dust had settled, not when we're three weeks into Scandoval at a reunion, you know? Like, really have productive conversations."

However, Kent's efforts proved fruitless and Leviss chose not to return. Instead, she has been sharing her side of her story in a new podcastRachel Goes Rogue -- a move Kent said "was not a good decision."

"I think if she opted out and then moved on to live a very normal life? Great, don't come back," Kent said. "But to not come back and do a podcast instead, I just thought it was one of the lamest decisions to make, and I felt like she was extremely ill-advised."

Fans will get to see the continuing fallout of Scandoval when season 11 of Vanderpump Rules premieres Jan. 30 on Bravo.
