ET spoke with singer Amara La Negra about fighting for change and her experiences with racism and colorism as an Afro-Latina. Amara opened up about protesting on the front lines of the Black Lives Matter movement and she shared her take on why it’s necessary for the Latinx and Black community to unite at this time. Amara also revealed details about the new documentary she’s featured in, ‘Habla Now,’ which is the latest installment of the award-winning ‘Habla’ series from HBO Latino. ‘Habla Now’ premieres on HBO Latino and HBO Max on Friday, Sept.18 at 9pm ET.
