'Today' Co-Anchor Dylan Dreyer Welcomes Baby No. 3 Six Weeks Early With Husband Brian Fichera

Dreyer and Fichera are also parents of Calvin, 4, and Oliver, 1.

Dylan Dreyer is a mom of three! The Today co-anchor has welcomed her third child with husband Brian Fichera.

The Today show announced on Wednesday morning that baby Russell James Fichera was born at 2:38 a.m. and weighed 5 pounds, 5 ounces, measuring at 18 inches long.

The news came after Dreyer told her followers on Instagram on Tuesday that her water broke six weeks early over the weekend.

Hoda Kotb assured viewers on Wednesday that, "Mom and babe [are] doing just fine. He did come early. He did not want to stay inside."

Prior to the baby's birth, Dreyer told her Instagram followers, "My water broke Sunday evening and I've been hanging at the hospital. Our little guy is anxious to get out and meet us! Doctors are closely monitoring both of us and trying to keep him on the inside for a little while longer to get stronger. All is well! I'm in great hands and I have the best person to keep me calm and comfortable. Looks like we'll be getting to meet our littlest boy sometime this week... 6 weeks early! Guess he couldn't handle being left out of all the fun his brothers have been having! We'll gladly take any extra prayers you have."

Dreyer announced her pregnancy during the morning talk show in May with the help of her 4-year-old son, Calvin. In a pre-taped video, Dreyer and Calvin adorably talk about the "bun in the oven" while making cinnamon rolls together. "I'm having a baby!" the toddler exclaimed as his mom held her growing baby bump.

Over the course of the next few months, Dreyer kept her Instagram followers up to date on her pregnancy, sharing stories about her breakfast cravings as well as her changing body.

"For those of you who cringed at @craigmelvinnbc pics of my dressing room...this is the situation I’m in right now: 20 minutes before showtime, I get dressed and literally nothing fits," she wrote alongside a photo in June that showed a dress and other items on her floor. "I’m at that point in my pregnancy where I’m not quite ready for full on maternity clothes and I’m squeezing into my old clothes. Some I just can’t squeeze into. They end up in a pile on the floor...that I hang up after the show when I have more time. I don’t just leave them there for someone else to clean up. So yes I’m messy, but I’m not a slob...I’m pregnant!"

In July, Dreyer shared a family photo in which she beamed with happiness. "Very rare full family photo!!!" she captioned it, noting that even the dog made the snap.
