'1000-Lb. Sisters' Star Tammy Slaton Clarifies Relationship With Haley Michelle

Slaton got an assist from Marshmello and Anne-Marie's track, 'Friends.'

Tammy Slaton is setting the record straight about the nature of her relationship with Haley Michelle.

The 1000-Lb. Sisters star took to TikTok on Monday and with a little help from Marshmello and Anne-Marie's "Friends" track, she put all speculation to rest. The video starts with her, Michelle and their friend, Paola Roman, posing for a photo. The video then plays the track while huge block letters spell out the lyrics.

In her caption, Slaton writes, "We're just friends."

Fans had been wondering about the nature of their relationship after Michelle started showing up in a lot of Slaton's recent snaps. Like last week, when Slaton and Michelle posed for photos in swimsuits.

After the pair snapped another pic holding one another close, Tammy was asked if Haley was a friend or a girlfriend.

"Just best friends," she replied.

On top of all that, some in the comments section have called out Michelle for using Slaton for clout or attention. But according to Michelle, they've hung out "hundreds of times with no photos" and that it was Slaton's idea to "start posting more and modeling more."

The TLC star has, in fact, been posting more pics since her dramatic physical transformation. As fans know, she revealed to People in late 2023 that she had lost 440 pounds since her 2022 bariatric surgery. In June 2023, Slaton shared a full-body selfie, which showed her no longer needing help from crutches. She also didn't use a filter for that photo. Also in that photo, Slaton is seen without her oxygen tube. And it was back in May 2023 when she posted a photo without an oxygen or tracheal tube for the first time since her birthday on July 27, 2021.

Her weight-loss transformation has been so triumphant, even her doctors were shocked to see her when she showed up to surprise them at their office in June. But it's also been a tough year for Slaton, who in 2023 mourned the unexpected death of her husband, Caleb Willingham. Recently, Slaton's family reacted to her devastating loss, with Slaton's older half-brother, Chris Combs, and sister, Amanda Halterman, saying they were in such disbelief at the tragedy that unfolded.

"It don't seem real," Chris says as he and Amanda drive.

"It don't. It really don't," Amanda agrees. "I wouldn't wish this type of s**t on nobody, my worst enemy or no one else's enemy."
