Ryan Reynolds Jokes He and Blake Lively Are 'Waiting' for Taylor Swift to Name Baby No. 4

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively welcomed their fourth child last year, but have not shared details about their youngest.

Ryan Reynolds did not miss in his response to a question involving both his youngest child and Taylor Swift

While the 47-year-old actor welcomed his fourth child with wife Blake Lively last year, the couple has managed to keep the baby's name and sex private to this day. The proud parents also share daughters James, 9, Inez, 7 and Betty, 4, all of whose names have been in lyrics for Lively's longtime pal.

On Monday, Reynolds was asked on Today whether baby no. 4 was graced with a mention on Swift's newly released 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department

"We always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child's name will be," Reynolds joked to Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb. "We're still waiting. So, Taylor, let's maybe start, you know."

He continued, "She's a prolific writer. I mean, what are we doing here? And lazy's not a word I'd attach to Taylor."

When ET spoke with Reynolds in late 2022, he made another light-hearted quip about the size of his growing family.

"We're very excited," Reynolds shared. "You'd have to be a moron to do this four times if you didn't like it."

Swift references James, Inez, and Betty in her 2020 folklore song, "Betty," which is currently featured on her Eras Tour setlist.

The songstress previously revealed the song's inspiration in an introduction clip reportedly played on country radio stations at the time.

"[James] has lost the love of his life basically and doesn’t understand how to get it back. I think we all have these situations in our lives where we learn to really, really give a heartfelt apology for the first time. Everybody makes mistakes, everybody really messes up sometimes and this is a song that I wrote from the perspective of a 17-year-old boy," she said, according to Billboard.

"I’ve always loved that in music you can kinda slip into different identities and you can sing from other people’s perspectives. So that’s what I did on this one," she continued. "I named all the characters in this story after my friends’ kids… and I hope you like it!"

On Sunday, Swift wrapped up her four-night Eras stint at Paris' La Défense Arena with boyfriend Travis Kelce in the audience showing his support.

Swift was famously joined by Lively at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, Nevada back in February, when Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs took home the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the third time in five years.

Lively and Reynolds were also by Swift's side at Kelce's game against the New York Jets in October 2023.

"Travis couldn't wait to attend Taylor's European leg of her Eras tour," a source now tells ET.  "He was very excited to see Taylor in action yet again, and enjoys watching her perform and singing along."

The source adds, "He’s a very supportive partner, as is she. The two are making it a point to celebrate each other’s achievements, and show up when it matters most."
