Amanda Bynes Debuts Edgy Buzzcut Hairstyle

Bynes debuted the new hairdo this week in Los Angeles.

Amanda Bynes is sporting a new hairdo that's creating a lot of buzz.

The She's the Man star debuted a new buzzcut when she was out and about on Thursday in Los Angeles. The 37-year-old actress showed off a buzzed top with long mullet-style blonde extensions. Paparazzi snapped away as Bynes puffed on a vape before hopping in her car and heading to an auto body shop. She was then joined by a mystery man and enjoyed a test drive.

The hairstyle debut comes on the same day Bynes announced on her Instagram that she's cancelling her podcast after just one episode. She said friends encouraged her to keep at it, especially after the first episode "did really well." But after thinking about it she said she'd "rather get my manicurist license and have a consistent job."

Bynes launched her podcast on Dec. 9, but then said she would shut it down after finding it challenging to book high-profile guests like Jack Harlow and Drake, among others. Then, on Monday, Bynes went on TikTok and shared a since-deleted video in which she said that she's giving her podcast more time.

"I think podcasts take time to grow, to build a following," she said, via the Los Angeles Times. "I shouldn't have said what I said last night about not getting the type of guests that we were looking forward to getting because, you never know, you might get them in the future. And the guests that we have lined up are really great. I'm looking forward to filming the next episode."

It now appears Bynes has made a final decision, and the podcast is dunzo.

Earlier this month, Bynes also shared on TikTok that she underwent a procedure called a blepharoplasty to remove the skin on her eyelids, a decision which she says has made all the difference.

"So I saw a couple of stories online that say I have a new look and I was never open about this before but I actually had blepharoplasty surgery," Bynes said in the video. "I don't have those skinfolds anymore -- it was one of the best things I could have ever done for my self-confidence and it made me feel a lot better in my skin."

According to the Cleveland Clinic, the procedure is used to improve the overall appearance of the eyelids.

While it's unclear what Bynes' reason was for undergoing the procedure, the actress said it's a decision she does not regret.

"I feel a lot better now about myself," she said, "and I'm so glad I had the blepharoplasty surgery and it's one of the greatest things I could've ever done."
