Beyonce Rocks a Floor-Length Braid to Tyler Perry Studios Grand Opening Gala

Beyonce's mom, Tina Knowles, and Destiny's Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams were also at the opening.

Beyonce made a surprise appearance at the grand opening gala of Tyler Perry Studios on Saturday, and she most certainly did not go unnoticed.

Queen Bey wore a custom Yousef Al Jasmi yellow beaded gown that she paired with diamond statement earrings and a braid that went all the way down to her ankles. Her husband, JAY-Z joined her, wearing a dapper tuxedo.

Beyonce posted several photos from the event on Instagram along with a congratulatory message for Perry. "Happy Sunday. Congratulations to Tyler Perry on the opening of his studios. I could feel our ancestors’ presence. Surrounded by my heroes, I watched Denzel, Queen Oprah, Spike, Whoopi, Sir Poitier, Will, Halle , Dame Cicely and our angels John Singleton and Diahann Carroll honored," she wrote. "The Armand de Brignac crashed against each soundstage as fireworks lit up the sky. Generations of blood, sweat and tears, success, excellence and brilliance. It makes me so proud, so full, I could not stop crying. Thank you my Virgo brother for so much love and passion put into every detail. My prayer today is that you will take it all in. You inspire me to dream even bigger."

Oprah Winfrey responded to the post, writing: "Twas a 'glory to glory' experience for sure. And a delight to share a table and Tyler magnificence with you both."

Halle Berry also commented: "STUNNING ✨"

While at the event, Beyonce posed with comedian Kway, who shared a photo of the two on Instagram, writing: "Still recovering from Beyoncé grabbing me and telling me she love me ??????????????"

Also in attendance was Beyonce's mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, and her fellow Destiny's Child members, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. While the 38-year-old singer did not pose on the red carpet, Tina, Kelly and Michelle all did so and spoke to ET's Kevin Frazier.

Knowles Lawson told ET that she was "so excited" about the event.

"I'm so proud of this whole operation, of Tyler and the strides he's made and how he's giving people jobs," she said. "This just means more to us than just this beautiful event, but [it's about] what he's accomplished."

Rowland also gushed over the historic moment. "This evening has already started off in such a way to where everybody kind of feels like they're floating you," she mused. "I'm sure Tyler has to feel like, when he's walking these grounds, like he's floating because this is dedication, this is passion, this is faith."

"He's truly a man of his word and a man of God," Rowland added. "He knew that this was going to happen and he knew he was going to be used for it to happen and didn't mind the sacrifice, and was ready for everything that came his way."
